Charlotte Tang
Hello there and welcome to my blog where I will be posting awesome, interesting, and unique design portfolios to get inspiration for the portfolio I will ultimately design for myself. There are so many ways for a designer to present who they are online, so hopefully the more I see, the more ideas will come to me :).
Now, for the first one:
This is the portfolio of Charlotte Tang, a Toronto based designer who focuses on web design and strives to find the balance between functionality and aesthetics. I really like the simple layout of this, it is clean and simple, yet the circular thumbnails give it more personality. I also like the when you hover over her pieces, they go from black and white to colored, something I can definitely see myself doing. When not hovering over the thumbnails, the only colored areas are in the header and footer which catches your eyes first. The way she describes her occupation, "Interactive design ninja extraordinaire" is memorable and way more interesting than just saying "web designer", so I should probably think of something clever and/or witty for myself. My only complaint is that there is no hover effect for her nav bar.
